Nervous-system-led physiotherapy for chronic pain, persistent dysfunction, and complex conditions. Plus NDIS physiotherapy including home visits and hydrotherapy across Adelaide.
These are the conditions our team works with regularly across both our Neura Manual Therapy™ clinic and NDIS physiotherapy services — whether the primary concern is pain, loss of function, disability support, restricted movement, or a combination of all.
Ongoing pain and dysfunction that has outlasted normal healing times, often involving sensitised nervous system responses that affect daily function.
Conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, or peripheral nerves — impacting movement, balance, coordination, and everyday independence.
Pain, stiffness, and movement dysfunction in the spine, joints, muscles, and soft tissues — from acute injuries to long-term degenerative changes.
Pain, weakness, and restricted range of motion in the shoulders, elbows, hands, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.
Nerve irritation, compression, or dysfunction causing pain, numbness, or loss of function — and vascular conditions affecting circulation and tolerance to activity.
Dizziness, balance disorders, headaches, and post-concussion symptoms that disrupt concentration, movement, and daily function.
Joint laxity, tissue fragility, and systemic hypermobility-related symptoms — often causing pain, instability, and functional limitations across multiple body systems.
Acute and overuse injuries to muscles, tendons, and ligaments — affecting strength, mobility, and the ability to return to sport or daily activity.
Pain, stiffness, reduced mobility, or complications following surgery — including persistent post-operative dysfunction that has outlasted expected recovery times.
The interplay between mental health, neurodevelopment, and physical symptoms — where stress, sensory processing, and nervous system dysregulation contribute to pain and dysfunction.
Conditions that cross traditional body-system boundaries — pelvic health, gut function, and endocrine-related symptoms affecting comfort, continence, and daily capacity.
Most people who come to us have already been given a diagnosis — often several. But a label doesn't always explain why you're still in pain or why your body isn't functioning the way it should. Neura Manual Therapy™ looks deeper — assessing how your nervous system drives both pain and dysfunction, and building therapy around what's actually keeping you stuck.
We run two distinct service streams — both staffed by senior clinicians, but designed for different needs. Most conditions on this page can be supported through either pathway.

The categories above cover the conditions we most commonly work with — but they're not exhaustive. If you're living with persistent pain or dysfunction and you're not sure whether our approach is relevant, reach out and we'll let you know honestly.
Whether you're considering your first session or trying to understand if we're the right fit, these are the questions we hear most.
Neura Manual Therapy™ is a nervous-system-led approach to hands-on physiotherapy. Instead of focusing only on the area that hurts — or what shows up on a scan — we assess how your nervous system is driving both pain and dysfunction. This matters because in many chronic conditions, the nervous system itself becomes part of the problem, affecting not just how you feel but how you move and function.
Sessions are longer, the techniques are gentle and precise, and every clinician on our team is senior-level. Read more about how it works.
Yes — many of our clients have been living with their condition for a long time. Chronic conditions often involve a sensitised nervous system that keeps amplifying pain and limiting function even after tissues have healed.
Neura Manual Therapy™ is specifically designed for these presentations. We assess how your nervous system has adapted over time and build a therapy plan around your current capacity, goals, and what your body can tolerate right now.
If you've been told "there's nothing more we can do" or "you just need to manage it" — that's often where our approach can make a meaningful difference.
That's very common — and something we're experienced with. Many people we see live with several conditions at once. For example:
Our approach looks at the whole picture — how your nervous system is responding across all these conditions — rather than trying to treat each one in isolation. This is one of the key advantages of a nervous-system-led framework.
This is something we hear often. Research consistently shows that structural findings on imaging — disc bulges, degenerative changes, labral tears — often don't correlate well with pain or dysfunction levels. Many people with dramatic scan findings have no pain at all, and many people in significant pain have unremarkable scans.
Our clinicians assess how your nervous system is interpreting signals, how your movement patterns have adapted, and what's actually driving your symptoms and functional limitations. The diagnosis on your scan may be real, but it's often not the whole story.
Yes — Neura Manual Therapy™ is designed to be gentle and precise. When your nervous system is sensitised, aggressive techniques can actually amplify pain and worsen dysfunction rather than relieve it. Our clinicians work within your body's tolerance, adapting the intensity of each session to where you are on that day.
We'll never push you into pain or use a one-size-fits-all approach. If you've had negative experiences with hands-on therapy in the past, we'd encourage you to let us know — it helps us tailor the session from the start.
For private Neura Manual Therapy™ sessions at our Prospect clinic, you don't need a referral — you can contact us directly. If you'd like to claim through Medicare (via a GP Management Plan), you'll need a referral from your GP first.
For NDIS-funded sessions, physiotherapy needs to be included in your plan — and NDIS participants can access both our Neura Manual Therapy™ clinic sessions and our community-based NDIS physio stream. Your support coordinator can make a referral, or you can submit one online.
Your first session is longer and focused on understanding your full picture. We'll talk through your history, what you've tried before, what's worked and what hasn't, how your condition affects your daily life, and what you're hoping to achieve.
From there, your clinician will carry out a physical assessment — not just of the area that hurts, but of how your nervous system, movement patterns, and functional limitations are all contributing. Most people also receive some hands-on therapy in the first session, so you get a sense of the approach before committing to ongoing care.
Bring any scan results, reports, or referrals you have — they're useful context, even if they don't tell the whole story.
It depends on your condition, how long you've had it, and your goals. Some people notice meaningful change within a few sessions; others with more complex or long-standing conditions may benefit from a longer course of therapy.
We don't lock you into a fixed program. After your initial assessment, your clinician will give you an honest sense of what to expect — and we reassess as we go. You're always in control of how often you come.
Yes — persistent post-surgical pain is one of the conditions we work with regularly. Surgery can be successful in structural terms but still leave you with ongoing pain, stiffness, or sensitivity. This is often because the nervous system has become sensitised through the injury, the surgical process itself, or the recovery period.
Our approach assesses why the pain is persisting beyond expected healing times and works with your nervous system to help calm that response. This applies whether you've had spinal surgery, joint replacements, abdominal procedures, or any other operation.
We run two complementary but distinct streams:
Many of the conditions on this page can be supported through either pathway. If you're unsure which is right for you, give us a call and we'll help you figure it out.
Our clinic is at 146 Churchill Road, Prospect SA 5082. It's where we deliver Neura Manual Therapy™ sessions.
Through our NDIS stream, we also offer home visits across the Adelaide metro area and one-on-one hydrotherapy at warm-water pools across Adelaide. See hydrotherapy locations.
Make a booking online or give us a call — we'll be in touch as quickly as possible.
